Beta Beta Chapter of KDChi at Clarkson University

"Leading with Integrity, United through Service"

Amanda Calton

Hey there!  I'm officially halfway through my time at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University!  So far, I have had the opportunity to intern with the St. Lawrence County Public Defender's office and The Lexus Project, and I currently work part-time at a matrimonial firm on Long Island.  I spend my free time visiting family and friends, reading, Netflix marathon-ing, and writing.  I can't wait to get to see my sisters this semester, and I'm even more excited to be attending conference in Chicago this summer!

Becky Florent

Hey all! My name is Becky Florent, and I am one of the charter sisters of the Beta Beta chapter. I graduated from Clarkson in 2013 with a degree in Chemistry, and I currently work as a lab technician for a small company near Boston. I spend most of my free time drawing and am currently attempting to master digital art, to the best of my abilities. During my time as an Active, I served as Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Academic chair and Alumnae Relations chair.

Hey girl! Here's my blurb for the website since I guess someone wanted one:

Brianna Beltran

Hi Everyone! Since my graduation in May 2013, I have kept very busy. I moved to the Metro-West Boston area where I am currently a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. I am also interning as a family therapist during the week and working on the weekends. In my free time I enjoy shopping, reading, going dancing and exploring all the restaurants in the area.  This year I am the KDChi Northeast Alumnae Regional Chair!

Mary Adams

Hello My name is Mary Adams, I am a 2014 alumni from the Beta Beta Chapter. I was a charter sister and held multiple rolls in the chapter. For now I am living in the nation's capital working as a civil engineer. But my real dream is to open up my own brewery because of my love for craft beer.  KDChi has helped me meet some really awesome people! #royalexecs #bestaround

Mia Cignarale

Hi, my name is Mia Cignarale and I am a KDChi Charter Sister (Spring '12). I graduated from Clarkson in December of 2013 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics and am currently a Project Engineer at the Graham Corporation. While at Clarkson I played the saxophone in the CU Pep Band and also served as Historian helping to keep up the Clarkson spirit at hockey games and other campus events. Sophomore/Junior year of college I helped to Charter KDChi at Clarkson and served as Historian and President. In summer 2012, 2013, and 2014 I attended the Kappa Delta Chi National Leadership Conference where I learned very valuable leadership skills. This conference is an amazing opportunity to travel while meeting and networking with sisters from around the country! It's wonderful to meet someone for the first time and know right away that you have the same core values and sisterly bond. KDChi, at Clarkson, was an amazing support system of women and I couldn't be more grateful for the amazing women I've met and the professional development I've gained from this organization. I remain very involved in the Beta Beta Chapter and attend as many alumni events as I can!

Rachel Skavina

Rachel Skavina is a May 2014 graduate who majored in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and minored in Chemistry. During her undergraduate career, Rachel was a Charter Member of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. Beta Beta Chapter serving as President, Historian, Special Projects Chair, Social Chair, and Recruitment Chair. In addition, Rachel worked in the Admissions Office as a Tour Leader and in the Office of Accommodative Services as a Senior Proctor and Training Assistant. She was honored as a leader at Clarkson, receiving the Student Marshal Award for outstanding campus/community involvement and service. Currently, Rachel is living in the southern tier region of NY and is working for Corning Inc. as a Team Leader. In her spare time Rachel enjoys reading, running, music, and being outdoors. Her favorite book series is Harry Potter and although she loves all different genres of music, she will admit her favorite is country music. Rachel carries herself with a positive attitude living by the motto: "Peace and love," and "Kill them with kindness.

Jordan Oarr

Hey Everyone! :) I am a Charter Sister for the Beta Beta Chapter and our first Alumni a few months after initiation. I have worked in retail since I was 16 and have worked for Six Flags, Kmart, Staples, and I am currently the Assistant Manager in charge of Operations for Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts, Inc. in Oswego, NY. I am working full-time at JoAnns, part-time for a local store, teach classes at the local library and volunteer whenever/wherever I can. On top of all that I am currently working on my Masters of Business Administration with a concentration on Ethical Leadership at Marist College. This past fall I just bought my first house so that’s an exciting new adventure all its own! Needless to say I have very little free-time but when I do I love traveling, crafting/sewing, reading, cooking/baking, listening to music and trying new things.
